Blue and white lotus covered pot, Xuantong of the Qing Dynasty, with a total height of 50.5cm, a caliber of 22cm, and a foot diameter of 20.7cm
The jar has a straight mouth, a short neck, a bulging belly, gradually converging under the abdomen, slightly skimming near the feet, and looping the feet. Attached is an umbrella shaped cover with a jewel shaped button on top. Full body blue and white decoration. The cover is painted with tangled branches and lotus patterns. The neck is painted with the word “Shou” in a peach tree with a folded branch, and the five characters “Kunning Palace Sacrificial Ware” are inscribed in blue and white regular script from right to left in a rectangular blank box. The abdomen is painted with a lotus pattern wrapped in branches. Draw a deformed lotus petal pattern near the foot. The outsole is printed in blue and white regular script with “Xuantong Year System of the Qing Dynasty” in double lines and six characters
The inscription “Kunning Palace Sacrificial Ware” on this jar has clearly stated its purpose, that is, it is a sacrificial utensil specially burned by the Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Factory during the reign of Xuantong for the sacrifice of the Shaman in the Kunning Palace.
