The decorative theme of children’s games is called “Baby Play”, which is one of the typical patterns of porcelain decoration. The baby play picture was first seen in Changsha kiln porcelain during the Tang Dynasty. The appearance of baby play pictures on Qing Dynasty porcelain stems from the stable social life and rapid population growth of the Kangxi Dynasty. Against that backdrop, baby scenes became a familiar artistic scene and influenced court art. During the Tongzhi and Guangxu periods, pictures of infant play were also common.
