Dong Yuan (AD? – 962), a native of Zhongling (now the northwest of Jinxian, Jiangxi), was a deputy envoy of Beiyuan in the Southern Tang Dynasty, and was good at painting landscapes in the south of the Yangtze River. The Pima Cun created by him has a profound influence on the later literati paintings.
