“Jiezhai” refers to Wu Dacheng (1835-1902), also known as Jiezhai, who was a famous epigrapher in the Qing Dynasty. Wu Dacheng is good at calligraphy, excellent seal cutting, and profound painting skills. Especially fond of purple clay pots, I personally designed the pot style and collaborated with famous pot makers at that time to make pots. The sand pots I made often come in the “Lianzhai” style. The style “Guoliang” of this pot refers to Yu Guoliang. Yu Guoliang was a master of pot making in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. His work, the Red Great Hearth Pot, won the Excellence Award at the Chicago Expo in 1932. This pot was completed by Wu Dazheng in cooperation with Yu Guoliang.
