Pale Yellow Pink Butterfly Baxi Pattern Disc, Tongzhi of the Qing Dynasty, height 5.1 cm, caliber 21.9 cm, foot diameter 13.0 cm
Slightly skimmed coil mouth, curved wall, circled foot. The rim of the mouth is painted with gold. On the white glazed floor of the outer wall, three evenly distributed patterns of broken branches are depicted in pastel paint. On the light yellow glazed floor of the plate, 38 butterflies are depicted in pastel paint, with eight gold colored double “Xi” characters between them. The “Xi” characters are all edged with alum red color. The inner circle foot is painted with white glaze, and the center of the outsole is embossed with alum red colored regular script “Tongzhi Year System” in 4-character double line style
This plate belongs to the Tongzhi wedding porcelain used in the 11th year of the Tongzhi reign (1872)
