Yellow ground pink plum magpie bowl, Tongzhi of the Qing Dynasty, with a height of 9.3 centimeters, a caliber of 17.9 centimeters, and a foot diameter of 7.8 centimeters
The bowl has an open mouth, deep belly, and rounded feet. The white glaze is applied internally and the yellow glaze is applied throughout the body, solidifying a thick and bright yellow color, giving the utensils a rich and luxurious royal style. On the yellow glaze, the blooming plum blossoms are painted in pink, and pairs of magpies dance in the air, symbolizing the “joy of the plum (eyebrow) branches”. The mouth edge and the circle foot are decorated with gold color. The center of the outsole is embossed with red ink and printed in regular script with four characters and two lines of “Tongzhi Year System”
