Blue and White Cloud Dragon Pattern Appreciation Bottle, Tongzhi, Qing Dynasty, 39 cm high, 10 cm caliber, 13 cm foot diameter
Bottle skimming, long neck, round belly, circular feet. Painted in blue and white with double dragons playing with beads, supplemented by sea water, river cliffs, and echo patterns as border decorations. Apply white glaze inside the ring foot. The outsole is printed in blue and white regular script “Tongzhi Year System of the Qing Dynasty” in double lines and six characters
The vase was specially fired for the emperor’s reward needs. It was first seen during the Yongzheng period of the Qing Dynasty. It was commonly seen in various dynasties with lotus patterns on tangled branches, and it is extremely rare to draw clouds and dragons.
