Yellow ground pastel color Wanshou Wujiang spoon, Tongzhi of the Qing Dynasty, 16.5cm long
Eating utensils for drinking soup. The spoon is coated with yellow glaze inside, and is painted with Ruyi cloud heads, ribbons, and sea water river cliff patterns in powder color. The spoon has four groups of gold colored circular openers with four characters of regular script: “Wan”, “Shou”, “Wu”, and “Jiang” inside, respectively. The outside is decorated with white glaze pastel color, and three groups of folded branches, flowers, and fruits are symmetrically painted. The pattern is decorated with four characters of regular script: “Tongzhi Year System” in red color. The rim of the mouth is painted with gold.
