Weng Fanggang Mingduan Stone Rectangle Inkstone, Qing Jiaqing, 22.2 cm long, 14.7 cm wide, and 1.3 cm thick
The inkstone is made of stone, rectangular in shape, purple and black in color, and has a translucent and moist stone texture. The inkstone hall is flat and wide, with a deep concave rectangular ink pool at the top. On the back of the inkstone is a shallow engraving of an old man holding a zither, with a plain and clean robe. On the upper part, the inscription is “The Painting of Holding a zither during the Taojing Festival”. On the lower left, the inscription is “Old Man Chen Shumu from the South Tower” and the seal is printed with “Chen Shu”. On the right, the inscription is “On the 12th day of the fifth lunar month, Weng Fanggang Temple in Peiping” and the seal is printed with “Su Zhai”. This inkstone has a simple shape and is in the style of literati inkstone
