Qianlong Blue Glass Square Flower Gu, with a height of 25cm and a diameter of 13.5cm
The flower goblet is square, with a skimmed mouth, a long neck, and a flat bottom. The entire body is made of transparent blue glass, with four characters engraved in regular script “Made in the Qianlong Year” in both sides of the frame at the center of the bottom
This flower Gu was made by the glass factory of the Qing Palace Fabrication Office, and is modeled after an antique bronze ware. Most of the Qing Dynasty flower goblets are used as one of the five offerings and can also be used alone. The shape of the flower goblet is straight and generous, retaining both the charm of antiquity and the clarity and freshness of the glass material.
