Pink and Enamel Painted Aquatic Carved Neck Bottle, Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, with a height of 24.6cm, a caliber of 12.6cm, and a foot diameter of 11.9cm
Bottle skimming, neck binding, belly bulging, and circular foot skimming. Each side of the neck is provided with a hanging band shaped ear. The inside of the bottle is decorated with turquoise green glaze, and the outside is decorated with pastel and blue materials. The abdomen is evenly decorated with four circular open lights arranged on a blue ground with floral patterns of folded branches and lotus flowers. The four circular open lights are arranged in order of spring, summer, autumn, and winter to draw landscapes representing the four seasons. In the blank space of the screen, the verses related to spring, summer, autumn, and winter in the poems made by Emperor Qianlong are inscribed. That is to say, “Spring is rich and beautiful in the world, and willows, smoke and flowers, and rain are always pleasant.” That is to say, “The shadow of wutong trees in the light moon, and the fragrance of Luo Xue trees in the light wind.” That is to say, “The wind wrinkled valley pattern returns to the far Lai, and the rosy peaks reflect the bright river.” That is to say, “The plum tent melts snow in spring, and the pine window dances with dragons in the moon.” After the poem, there are two square idle seals, “Qianlong Chenhan” in the masculine script and “Only the best” in the yin script. The circle foot is painted with turquoise green glaze inside, and the outer bottom is decorated with a blue and white seal script “made in the Qianlong year of the Qing Dynasty” in six characters and three lines. Because the neck of the bottle is designed as a double layer and the outer layer can rotate, it is called a “rotating neck bottle”< During the Qianlong period, it was popular to use circular openings for decoration on porcelain, making the patterns more prominent and enhancing the three-dimensional sense. When appreciating the different opening scenes of the four seasons, this bottle can always keep its ears in the front and both sides by rotating the neck, with ingenious intentions and unique charm
