Yixing Kiln Purple Sand Sika Deer is from the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, with a height of 12.8 cm and a length of 13.8 cm
A fawn opened its eyes wide and carefully observed the movement around it. Made of ginger yellow sand mud. The deer’s coat is dark yellow and covered with white plum blossom spots. Both eyes and four hooves are black, alert and intelligent. “Deer and” Lu “are synonymous, implying high officials and high salaries. Therefore, they have been widely used in the decoration of arts and crafts since the Ming and Qing dynasties.”
This purple sand deer has a vivid shape and exquisite craftsmanship, representing the superb level of Yixing Kiln in producing royal stationery.
