Thunder pattern four-legged square tripod

[Thunder Pattern Quadruped Square Tripod]

Thunder Pattern Quadruped Square Tripod, Qing Qianlong, 14.8 cm high, 13.3 cm wide
This tripod is rectangular in shape, with flat folded edges and a neck. It has two upright ears on its mouth, a flat bottom, and four columnar feet. The abdomen is decorated with thunder and straight lines on all sides, with the straight lines centered and surrounded by thunder lines. In the center of the outsole, there is a six character regular script inscription “Made in the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty.”. This utensil was made by the Qing Palace Fabrication Office in imitation of the bronze square tripod of the early Western Zhou Dynasty, but the difference between the two is also obvious
In the early Western Zhou Dynasty, the square tripod had a straight neck, and the thunder lines of this period were smooth. On the other hand, the thunder patterned four legged square tripod has a prominent neck adduction and a relatively old-fashioned design. The thunder patterned decorative lines are rigid and the structure is neat. There are still traces of smoke inside this tripod, indicating that it has been assigned to use as an incense burner.
