There are eight Baoxiang flowers in the outer ring, and the flower stems are connected in a circle. The patterns are mainly outlined by fine lines, supplemented by local shallow reliefs. The veins formed by thin lines are filled in the flower leaves, presenting a magnificent scene of luxuriant leaves and flowers. Baoxiang flower comes from Buddhist art, with the meaning of holiness. Buddhism prevailed in the Tang Dynasty, so Baoxiang flower became a popular decorative pattern. In modeling, the images of lotus, rose, peony, camellia, honeysuckle and other flowers are combined, and they are either positive or lateral, with various changes.
