Using hollow out techniques to decorate and beautify utensils was one of the commonly used porcelain making techniques in the Qing Dynasty, especially in the Kang, Yong, and Qian dynasties, where a large number of hollow out techniques were used on rotary heart bottles and rotary neck bottles. The production of hollow objects is difficult, with high technical requirements, low yield, and the hollow parts need to be carefully designed. The successful firing of a large number of hollow porcelain in the Qing Dynasty fully demonstrates the superb level of porcelain firing techniques during this period.
