  • Description:
This piece of black glazed iron has a slightly curly edge, a short straight neck, round shoulders and bulging belly, a flat bottom, and three animal shaped feet. The body is covered with black glaze with paste, the glaze color is uneven, the glaze surface has a luster sense, and obvious iron stain marks can be seen on the glaze surface; There are also painting marks on the glaze applied inside the vessel. The glaze applied on the outer wall is not as good as the bottom, exposing a brown body with fine texture. The traces of windlass turning and repairing can also be seen on the outer bottom. The whole work is similar to those unearthed from the Tang Tomb in Xiabo Village, Shenzhou City, Hebei Province, as well as works with similar shapes such as tricolor and white porcelain, which reflect the prevailing style of the ninth century.
