The Sanxi Hall, located in the West Warm Pavilion of the Heart Nurturing Hall in the Forbidden City, is named after the rare treasures of Wang Xizhi’s “Sunny Notes During Fast Snow”, Wang Xianzhi’s “Mid Autumn”, and Wang Xun’s “Boyuan Notes”. From the perspective of artistic appreciation, “Sanxi Hall” has become a famous collection place for famous works of art, and the corresponding “Sanxi Hall Jingjian Seal” and “Yizi” seals have certainly become identification marks. The two seals are mainly stamped on the calligraphy and painting works described in the “Shiqu Treasure Collection” and the “Secret Palace Pearl Forest” in the first and second editions. The specific usage conditions are clearly explained in the “General Rules” in the “Shiqu Treasure Collection” and the “Secret Palace Pearl Forest” in the first and second editions. For example, in the first edition of the “Shiqu Treasure Collection”, all calligraphy and paintings are stored in the Qianqing Palace, the Hall of Nourishing the Heart, the Chonghua Palace, and the Imperial Study. Each of them uses a seal to distinguish between them. There are also two seals, namely, the “Shiqu Treasure Collection” and the “Treasure of the Qianlong Emperor”, with the same volume, scroll, and axis. The superior ones are stamped with “Qianlong Appreciation”, “Sanhetang Jingjian Seal”, and “Suitable for Descendants”. “For those who have been included in the selection of” Shiqu Treasure Collection “and” Secret Palace Pearl Forest “, they will use the following words:” Treasure of the Emperor Qianlong “,” Qianlong Appreciation “,” Sanxi Hall Jingjian Seal “,” Suitable for Descendants “,” Secret Palace Pearl Forest “or” Shiqu Treasure Collection “,” New Compilation of Secret Palace “or” Redefinition of Pearl Forest “,” Shiqu Treasure Collection “or” Redefinition of Treasure Collection “.”. The positions of these two seals are also basically fixed when they are sealed, usually at the lower right of the work, with the “Sanhetang Jingjian Seal” on the top and the “Yizi Seal” on the bottom
