Jade Jiaolong Niu “Jiede Tangbao”

“Jiede Tangbao” (Jade Jiaolong Niu “Jiede Tangbao”)

“Jiede Tangbao” (Jiede Tangbao), Qianlong Period of the Qing Dynasty, made of jade, Jiaolong Niu square seal, Chinese seal script. The surface is 11.5 cm square, the overall height is 8.6 cm, and the button height is 4.1 cm. Attached is a yellow ribbon, accompanied by a red sandalwood embossed sea water cloud dragon pattern treasure box
The Jiede Hall is located on the left of the Qingshu Mountain Pavilion in the Summer Resort, named after the 45th year of Qianlong (1780). It is known that this treasure was made in the year or later and was specifically stored in this library. About the beginning and end of the naming of Jiede Hall, Emperor Qianlong once wrote in “Records of Jiede Hall”: “When my Emperor Shengshouwang was at the seventh hour of his reign, he tried to engrave a universal seal and ordered the imperial court to draw up articles. None of them had the sacred meaning, so he decided to use the word ‘precepts are obtained’… However, at that time, the sacred meaning was quoted but not issued. I gave it to the seventh rank of my reign today, and I tried it on New Year’s Day, which implied the meaning of this phrase. I am staying at the Summer Resort, where the Emperor Qianxi used this seal and gave me the place to receive favors. It is suitable for the Book Hall to be located on the left of the Qingshu Mountain Hall, which is recorded on the basis of this inscription to illustrate the Emperor’s ancestor Italy. “The teachings of the emperor are different from those of the scholar Zhan Bi, so the precepts should also be different.”. “If the precepts of Fang Gang have not yet been determined, we will not discuss them again. Those who have followed these precepts should have obtained them.” It can be seen that the name of this hall not only reflects the teachings of the Emperor Kangxi of Yang Ti, but also contains the elements of Qianlong’s self urging and self warning
