The bottle mouth is tilted outward, with a short and thick neck, and elephant ears stacked on both sides of the neck. The shoulders are lowered, the belly bulged, and the feet circled. The inner sleeve of the bottle is a small belly bottle, which is connected to the neck of the outer bottle and can be rotated. The small bottle is white glazed with pastel on the ground. The neck and shoulder are each painted with twelve openings, facing each other up and down. In the light of the neck, there are regular script “Ten Thousand Years”, “Jia Zi”, and seal script Tiangan names; The name of the local branch of the seal script inside the shoulder opening light. The abdomen is decorated with a yellow ground wrapped pattern, and four groups of four seasons garden views are hollowed out. Through the window, you can see the baby play pictures on the bottle. The children may ride horses, play Tai Chi flags, hold umbrella covers, play drums, or play lanterns, in various forms. The bottle’s elephant ears, mouth edges, and the edge of the hollow landscape window are all painted with gold. The bottle is coated with turquoise green glaze. At the bottom, there are three lines and six characters in the blue and white seal script “made in the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty”
The mouth and neck positions of this bottle can rotate, especially the opening and closing of the neck and shoulders form a perpetual calendar. The three parts of the bottle body must be burned and painted separately. During the process, the shrinkage ratio of the porcelain body at each part must be well controlled to avoid any leaks after assembly, bonding, and color patching. This display is a new type of utensil specially made after the eighth year of Qianlong’s reign (1743). According to Tang Ying’s memorial, in the eighth year of Qianlong’s reign, “craftsmen and others began the ten thousand years of Jiazi’s reign with the beginning of spring”, and “Fu Jingjing created a pair of ten thousand year Jiazi pen holders, with a smooth circulation and continuous bats.”. It can be seen from this that this 10000 year old Jia Zi hollow heart rotating bottle should also be a product of the eighth year of Qianlong.
