During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, the porcelain industry in Jingdezhen entered its heyday. A large number of skilled craftsmen gathered in the imperial kiln factory, sparing no effort to imitate various handicrafts with porcelain, such as imitation wood, bamboo, lacquer, and bronze. The imitation skill was so high that it could hardly be true
The shape, glaze color, pattern, and texture of this bowl are all similar to lacquer ware, reflecting the superb porcelain making skills of the Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Factory during the Qianlong period.
