Banjin Colored Paint Wanfu Phoenix Pan, Qianlong, Qing Dynasty, height 3.3 cm, caliber 29.2 × 19 cm
The plate has a rectangular corner, a shallow belly with a slight drum, a flat bottom, and short circular feet. The whole body is decorated with decorative patterns using the technique of gold colored paint. The inner wall is shaped like an image and decorated with folded flower patterns, while the outer wall is decorated with lacquer swastika characters and brocade ground. The outer wall is painted with a plain and dark pattern of eight immortals. The inner bottom is painted with a tortoise back brocade pattern, and the upper part of the middle is decorated with a bat swastika knot. Below, there is a blooming peony with its flower stamen carved into a “Tuanshou” character. On both sides of the tree peony, there is a phoenix dancing on each branch. The outer bottom is painted with red paint, and near the top is a horizontal regular script made in the reign of the Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty. Below it is a famous double row regular script instrument named “Wanfu Fengpan”. “The name of the item is used to describe the shape and pattern of the item. It can only be found on some carved lacquer ware, gold colored lacquer ware, and filled lacquer ware used by Emperor Qianlong.”. The pattern line of this lacquer plate is smooth, the brocade ground is fine and regular, polished smooth, and the process technology is rigorous. The paint color combines a soft dark red and yellowish brown with a dazzling golden yellow, bringing a dignified visual effect to the viewer. It can be regarded as an outstanding representative of the dense, delicate, and magnificent style of the internal affairs office of the Qianlong Dynasty
