There are seven riders, and one in the middle of the painting has his upper body on the front, and his clothes are different from those of the other six. He should be the master of the painting. The first two guide, while the last four hold bows, clubs, fiddles and wine, looking forward and backward. The composition of the background tree stone is similar to Han Gan’s “The Painting of Apes and Horses”, another piece in the courtyard collection, which may be from the same manuscript. This painting has no stamp of the author. It was said to be from the Tang Dynasty. From the perspective of painting technique, the front portrait of the master in the painting is similar to the style of the emperor portrait painted in the middle of the Ming Dynasty, which may be the hand of the court painter of the Ming Dynasty.
