The production process of this treasure is recorded in detail in the “Plan File of the Office of the Interior Affairs Office of the Qing Palace”: “On the 23rd of the first month of Yongzheng (1723), the Prince of Yi handed over a large treasure carved with the Kui dragon edge on the Jiulong button of the Shoushan stone, with the purpose of engraving the ‘Treasure of Yongzheng’s edict’. The Prince of Yi presented a large treasure carved with the Kui dragon edge on the Jiulong button of the Shoushan stone on the 24th of February, with the inscription of the ‘Treasure of Yongzheng’s edict’.” The shallow relief around the treasure is decorated with Kui dragon patterns, and the upper sea dragon is carved in natural stone color.
