The upper bound is the willing warrior and Chongzilasejie, and the lower bound is the Yellow Prison Emperor. On the back of the Thangka, there is a white silk label, which is inscribed in four characters of Han, Manchu, Mongolian and Tibetan in ink. The Chinese text is: “On the seventh day of August, the forty-fifth year of Qianlong’s reign, Panchen Erdeni went to Danshuk to worship the benefit portrait of Avalokitesvara. Fourth from the left”. This hall of Avalokitesvara Thangka is composed of 9 axes and is complete now. Each god in the picture has a Tibetan name under it, and the time and location are marked on the white silk label on the back.
