The Tibetan name of this Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva is “Harahara Avalokitesvara”. The Lord is white, with three sides and six arms, wearing a treasure crown, topless, wearing a tiger skin skirt at the waist, and sitting on the throne of the sun lotus in the right comfortable style. The right hand 1 and the left hand 1 draw the bow and shoot arrows, the right hand 2 holds the rosary, the right hand 3 gives the vow seal, the left hand 2 holds the princess, and the left hand 3 holds the lotus. The upper bound is called Bodhisattva for the limitless light and the moon, and the lower bound is the secret achievement of the King of Hell
There is a white silk label on the back of the Thangka, with a four-body inscription in Han, Manchu, Mongolian and Tibetan. The Chinese text is: “On the seventh day of August, the forty-fifth year of Qianlong’s reign, Panchen Erdeni went into Danshuk to worship the benefit portrait of Avalokitesvara. The second from the left”. This hall of Avalokitesvara Thangka is composed of 9 axes and is complete now. Each god in the picture has a Tibetan name under it, and the time and location are marked on the white silk label on the back.
