- Description:
The whole painting depicts the scenery of Penglai Palace fairyland in green and green colors. At the beginning of the scroll, a mountain separates the world of the viewer from the world in the painting. The world in the painting is evergreen, peach blossoms are in full bloom, and waterfalls, pavilions and gardens are dotted in it. The figures are either looking from afar, or boating, or riding a horse, or chatting in twos and threes. All of them are free and contented, and they are really a fairyland. However, the lake rocks, trees and rocks reveal many styles influenced by the Wu School after the middle of the 16th century. The works of Li Zhaodao, an old painter of the Tang Dynasty, may be the imaginative works of the painting workshops in Suzhou in the middle and late Ming Dynasty.
