A set of 12 cups, skimming, deep arc wall, and foot ring. White glaze is applied inside and outside, and the outer wall is decorated with blue and white. They are painted with flowers representing 12 months, and are equipped with corresponding verses. They are: January, narcissus, “the spring wind makes jade come to clear books, and the night moon rises on the levee.” February, magnolia, “the golden emerald calyx is cold in spring, and there are several kinds of yellow flowers.” March, peach blossom, “the wind flower new society swallow, the season old spring is thick.” April, peony, “the morning Yan Yuan divides the golden palm dew, and the evening fragrance deeply touches the jade hall wind.” May, pomegranate, “the dew bead curtain reflects, and the fragrant wind powder wall covers.” June, lotus, “The root is the jade in the mud, and the heart bears the dew.” In July, the orchid, “the light fragrance in the broad hall, and the singing from the high platform.” In August, osmanthus fragrans, “the branches grow in the infinite moon, and the flowers are full of natural autumn.” In September, chrysanthemum, “the wine in white for thousands of years, and the fragrance of the young lady in life.” In October, the hibiscus, “the fragrance and the rain, and the fine color give rise to clear smoke.” In November, the rose, “not with a thousand species, but with a year of red.” In December, plum, “Pure snow coagulates the trees, and the fragrance fills the branches.” At the end of the poem, the word “appreciation” in blue and white seal script is written
The December flower-pattern poem cup was used in the imperial palace during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty.
