This picture depicts the rebellion in Anlu Mountain during the reign of Tang Tianbao. The Ming Emperor (Xuanzong) was lucky to avoid chaos in Sichuan when his army fell in Chang’an. It is recorded in the history that “when he came out of the plank road under Feixian Mountain, he saw a small bridge at first sight, and his horse was not scared to enter”. The person in the painting was Emperor Ming of Tang.
