[Imitation Ding Kiln White Glazed Peony Double Fish Pattern Bowl]

Imitation Ding Kiln White Glazed Peony Double Fish Pattern Bowl, Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, height 5.7 cm, caliber 19.6 cm, foot diameter 5.3 cm. In the Palace Museum
The bowl is in the form of a bamboo hat, with an open mouth, oblique straight wall and round feet. The whole body is painted with white glaze, and the rim of the mouth is gray and black, commonly known as “Qingsha mouth”, which is a copper buckle inlaid in imitation of Ding kiln porcelain. The outer wall is plain without grain decoration, and the inner wall is decorated with flowers. The edge of the mouth is decorated with a curly grass pattern, the belly is carved with a peony pattern, and the inner bottom is carved with a double fish pattern
Although the shape, body, glaze color, decorative patterns and copper mouth of this utensil imitate the Ding kiln realistically, the glaze is brighter than the white porcelain of the Ding kiln in the Song Dynasty, and the carved patterns lack three-dimensional sense
