Jijin Hall hair embroidery plus official figure axis

[Jijin Hall Hair Embroidery Plus Official Figure Axis]

Jijin Hall Hair Embroidery Plus Official Figure Axis, Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, 104 cm vertically and 46 cm horizontally
This picture axis is embroidered with hair on the plain satin ground. In the picture, the boy holds the crown and an official wants to receive the crown. Behind him stands an attendant with a fan. The work imitates the line drawing method of Qiu Ying, a painter of the Ming Dynasty, which uses the cutting hair to draw lines. In order to deliberately pursue the visual effect of thin and round lines, this picture breaks the needle rolling method of traditional hair embroidery, boldly uses the flat gold embroidery for reference, and staples the hair evenly on the painting, making the lines more regular and smooth, without revealing any trace of connection. In the upper left corner of the painting, there are inscribed poems in ink and thread embroidery “Ji Jin Tang Yin”
The composition of this work is vivid, the cut silk is fine, and the embroidery is simple and natural, which represents the superb craftsmanship of hair embroidery in the Qing Dynasty.
