Lotus ground pastel flower pattern holding box, Qing Guangxu, with a height of 17.2 cm, a diameter of 30.0 cm, and a foot diameter of 17.3 cm
The box is in the shape of Mantou, with the upper and lower mouths folded together and feet encircled. The box is painted with white glaze, and the outer wall is decorated with lotus ground pastel flower patterns. The center of the top of the box cover is painted with a five-claw dragon on the front, surrounded by peach trees, narcissus, morning glory, holly and other patterns. The mouth edge is painted with deformation ripple. The outer wall of the box body is painted with the same flower patterns as the box cover, and the mouth edge and the outer wall of the ring foot are painted with deformation patterns. Apply white glaze inside the circle foot. In the center of the outsole, there are four characters and double lines of “body and temple system” in alum red color seal
This box of “body and temple system” shows that it is a birthday porcelain specially fired by Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Factory during the reign of Guangxu for the 50th birthday of Empress Dowager Cixi in the tenth year of Guangxu (1884)
