Red sandalwood inlaid jade carved round box with tangled lotus pattern, clear, 4.1 cm high, 9.1 cm diameter, 7.2 cm bottom diameter. The old collection of the Qing Palace
The box is flat and round, with the foot circled, the cover and the body fit together, and the lips curled. The box body is simple and elegant, with excellent grinding. The top of the cover is hollow, inlaid with a round white jade piece, carved with a lotus pattern, which is not vulgar, and set off against the box body. The color is appropriate, dignified, but light and lovely.
