The epitaph volume of Xiao Siliang in the early Qing Dynasty was carved in the second year of Tang Jingyun (711), ink was expanded, and the mounted volume was cut in half. Each opening is 29 cm vertically and 27 cm horizontally. Mr. Ma Heng donated gifts
This record was carved on February 15, the second year of Tang Jingyun’s reign (711). It was unearthed in Xi’an, Shaanxi during the reign of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty. The small regular script has thin and vigorous strokes and elegant posture, which Yang Shoujing rated as a masterpiece in the epitaph of the Tang Dynasty. Although the name of the person who signed the book is not available, experts have pointed out that its font is similar to the “Wu Chenggui Epitaph” written by Yan Weizhen, or that it is written by Yan. When it was unearthed, the soil had been eroded
The word “Tang” in the first line of this book is undamaged, and the word “Ju” in the last line is undamaged. It is an old and refined book in the middle of the Qing Dynasty. The cover has the signature of Ma Heng. There is a postscript by Mr. Ma Heng at the back of the book, pointing out that this ambition was written by Yan Weizhen, the father of Yan Zhenqing. The seal of the seal is “static seal” and “approved by Ma Heng”.
