Bronze gilded two-arm Jiguang Buddha Mother, Qing Dynasty, 16.4 cm high
The face of the Jiguang Buddha Mother is like a silent bodhisattva. She wears a five-leaf crown, and her hair is tied around her shoulders. Expose your upper body, wear silk belt on your shoulders, and wear a skirt on your lower body. The left hand applies the saying seal, and holds the lotus stem. The lotus is placed on the left shoulder, and the right hand applies the wish seal. Sit on the lotus seat with half legs, and the mount under the lotus seat is in the shape of a pig. The pig looked forward with two eyes, two ears drooping, mouth open and tongue out, three hooves on the ground, one hoof raised but not put down, as if it had just carried the Buddha mother to the destination. Under the mount, the oval lotus petal base is carried out. The front edge of the base is cast with “Made in the year of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty”, and the bottom edge is carved with “Jiguang Buddha Mother”, indicating the identity of the statue
According to the Buddhist scriptures, the mother of Jiguang Buddha has great powers and is one of the nine main deities of the Central Affairs Department of the four Tibetan Buddhist secret sects.
