This self-recognition: “Painted by the minister Jiang Pugong.” The lower seal: “minister”, “Pu” Zhu Wenfang. The lower mounting seal bears the seal of Zhu Wenfang, the seal of the Antiquities Exhibition Hall: “Continuation of Baoyun Building Calligraphy and Painting”. According to the imperial inscription of Emperor Qianlong, the painting was painted in the mid-autumn festival of the 23rd year of Qianlong (1758). This picture uses ink to draw the full moon. In the middle of the month, the rabbit uses dry ink to write fur. The focus of the ink is vivid and lovely. Osmanthus fragrans uses ink to draw branches and leaves with exquisite and sophisticated strokes. Osmanthus fragrans is dotted with orange, and its warm color adds some warmth to the cold moon and cold palace. The layout of the whole map is compact, and the color and ink are skillfully applied, which is very interesting. The words “ice wheel”, “rabbit wheel”, “wide cold”, “heavy wheel” and other words in the painting inscription are all metaphors of the moon and the jade rabbit.
