[White Jade Wang Xizhi Love Goose]
White Jade Wang Xizhi Love Goose, clear, 2.9 cm high, 1.6 cm in diameter
White jade is white and glossy, with medium perforation. The surface is bounded by two trees and arranged with rocks and fences as the background. Under one side of the tree stands an old man with long clothes and beards, holding up his right hand to greet the children running ahead. The little boy was under the tree on the other side, holding a goose in his arms. He seemed to turn back when he heard the old man’s cry, but he did not stop. The blank space between the two trees is engraved with the four words of “Xizhi Love Goose” in the running script. The figure and pattern are light relief
In the Qing Dynasty, the cylindrical, square, or triangular prismatic jade objects with holes in the middle were called “Le Zi”, “Le” or “Le”, which were mostly used as ornaments or pendants
