Lu Hong (circa the 7th and 8th centuries AD), with the character Hao Ran, was born in Youzhou by Fan Yang (now Daxing, Hebei). He lives in seclusion in Mount Song, is erudite, good at calligraphy, and can also paint. In Xuanzong’s time, he failed to perform official duties after repeated battles. He was given a seclusion uniform and a cottage.
