The wall of the tube is embossed with a picture of fishing in Liuxi. In the picture, there are many trees in the middle of the mountain, and the stream at the foot of the mountain is turbulent. The characters either stop for a rest or sit under the trees, which shows the peaceful scene of the fisherman’s leisure. A poem inscribed by Emperor Qianlong in regular script is carved on one side of the mountain wall:
The net is full of fish and shrimp, and the drunk man sleeps with the straw hat
It is said that the house has been uncertain, and a fishing song is proud of Ge Tian
There are also “Chen”, “Han” two seals and “Huang Zhenxiao, a small minister from the end of the fifth day of Qianlong’s reign (1738) to the end of the month”.
This ivory brush holder has the style of bamboo carving in Suzhou and Jiading. The high relief reaches 6 to 7 layers deep, and the carved scenery is exquisite and exquisite.
