[Topaz Qin type paperweight]
Topaz Qin type paperweight, clear, 12.9 cm long, 3.2 cm wide, 1.3 cm thick
The paperweight is made of yellow jade and shaped like a guqin. The overall proportion is slightly wider. Seven strings are embossed on the surface of the zither, and 10 emblems are carved on the outside to mark the phonemes, instead of 13 common on the zither. There are two grooves at the bottom of the instrument, which respectively represent the two sound holes on the guqin base plate, namely, “Phoenix Marsh” and “Dragon Pond”
Jade harp paperweights are rare. The jade of this article is elegant and moist, which seems to imply that it is consistent with the pure rhyme of the zither
