The picture depicts the scenery of plum and crane in the Qing Dynasty. The strong plum tree, its interlaced twigs and scattered flowers break the overall space of the picture. The author deliberately painted two cranes on the trunk of the plum tree. Their calm and relaxed attitude added a peaceful life to the picture, and their flat shape unified the original too fine picture, which shows the author’s ingenious ability to conceive and break into pieces
