Cheng Zhengcaii is a landscape painter who pays attention to painting on the basis of the patriarchal tradition of the Song and Yuan dynasties. This picture depicts the scenery of mountains and rivers shrouded in twilight in the south of the Yangtze River. The whole picture is mainly composed of mixed trees, with distant mountains, stone bridges and cottages. The overall layout is coherent, natural and rigorous.
