Gold beaded “Longevity Unlimited” cup and plate, 7.5cm in height, 7cm in diameter and 19cm in diameter
The cup is slightly high, cylindrical, with a round mouth. It is large at the top and small at the bottom. The outer wall of the cup is carved with a dragon. The side of the dragon has a lotus pattern with tangled branches, and the water pattern is near the foot. There is an ear on both sides of the cup. The upper part of the ear is a lotus holder with a large pearl embedded on it. The lower part is a hollow seal character, one ear is “Longevity”, one ear is “Boundless”, and there is a ganoderma lucidum pattern under the word. The bottom of the cup encircles the foot
The tray is wide and has a wide edge. It is carved with tangled lotus, and four pearls are inlaid in four directions. The flat bottom of the plate is carved with 8 lotus flowers, among which 4 are inlaid with pearls. A round cupholder is raised in the middle and decorated with dragon patterns
This set of gold cups and pans was made by the Qing Palace’s internal affairs office. It was luxurious and magnificent, and was used by the emperor when the court held a banquet. Gold wine glasses of the Qing Dynasty with the praise of “eternal life” are still rare.
