[Pu Woven Axe-type Fan]
Pu Woven Axe-type fan, clear, 39.7 cm long handle, 28.3 cm long and 185 cm wide single fan. The old collection of the Qing Palace
The wooden handle of the fan is decorated with serrated patterns. There are two copper buckles on the upper part of the handle to connect the fan. The two pieces of the fan are folded in half like an axe, and are woven with cattail. The top edge of the fan is clamped with wooden and metal edge strips, and the fan edge is rolled with variegated fabric. The warp and weft of the fan weaving are staggered, and the local part presents a zigzag pattern, which is fine and flat, seamless and timeless. The fan body is light and flexible, and the copper buckle can drive the fan to rotate to supply air, so it is very convenient to use. It has a special form, which is quite similar to the so-called “instant noodles” fan with handle in the Warring States Period and the Han Dynasty. It is estimated that the production should be based on the original.
