The history of Mount Pan was recorded in the Han Dynasty, built in the Tang Dynasty, and extremely in the Qing Dynasty. Natural landscapes, ancient temples and famous gardens are gathered here. Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty had visited Mount Pan 32 times, leaving 1366 poems and articles about Mount Pan, and even said “If you knew there was Mount Pan, why go to Jiangnan”
This painting shows the panoramic view of the winding mountains, and the composition is vigorous and full. The picture imitates the painting techniques of Ni Zan of the Yuan Dynasty and Dong Qichang of the Ming Dynasty. It is painted with the same texture and is rich in layers. It is pure with ink, beautiful and green. Emperor Qianlong was keen on calligraphy and painting, leaving a large number of paintings and calligraphy works, but such a large landscape is relatively rare. This painting has more than 30 paragraphs of his imperial inscription, which can be seen as his masterpiece
The paintings are stamped with “the treasure of eight symbols and eight thoughts”, “the treasure of the ancient and rare emperor of the Five Blessings and Five Dynasties Hall”, and “the treasure of the Supreme Emperor”
