Qing Dynasty, anonymous, silk edition, color setting. 37.2 cm in length and 23.3 cm in width
This album was painted by the court painters in the Qianlong period. It shows the theme of hounds: “rules are powerful, and out comes gains”, “bones are strange, and appearance is commendable”. The painting is neat and has a certain program. On the other hand, there are “The Book of Mountains and Seas” written by Chen Bangyan, Wang Tubing, Li Tingyi, Zhang Tingyu, Jiang Tingxi, Zhang Zhao, Bo Hai, and other courtiers of the inner court, as well as “The Ode to the Dog” by Xiuyi of the Jin Dynasty and “The Ode to the Dog” by Du Fu of the Tang Dynasty.
