The flowerpot holds the purple sand embryo, with slightly inward mouth, flat edge, bulging belly and round foot. Sky blue glaze is applied inside and outside, and the glaze is even, clean and deep. The circle foot is painted with brown glaze, and the number “five” is engraved on the outer bottom. The circle foot is followed by three Ruyi head-shaped feet. The outer edge of the mouth and the place near the foot are decorated with protruding drum nails for one week
Located in Yixing, Jiangsu Province, Yixing Kiln is an important ancient porcelain kiln in southern Jiangsu. It was fired in the Han Dynasty at the latest. It has been famous for firing purple clay pottery since the Ming Dynasty. The glazed pottery imitated from Jun of the Song Dynasty is called “Yijun”
