Gold inlaid stone round box, clear, 4.1 cm in height and 7.5 cm in diameter
The box is made of 90% gold and round. The cover is carved with rice bead pattern and brocade ground, and is inlaid with clouds and bat patterns with pink, green, blue and red tourmalines. The cover is inlaid with tourmaline and chrysanthemum patterns. The folded edge of the cover and the bottom edge of the box body are engraved with the deformed “Swastika” continuous pattern. There are “Baohua” and “Zuojin” stamps on the bottom of the box
In the court of the Qing Dynasty, this kind of box is generally used by the empresses to hold objects such as rouge. The carving process of this box is extremely exquisite, and inlaid with various colors of tourmaline to form a pattern, which is even more precious
