The gold inlaid pearl celestial sphere is a model made of gold by the Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs during the reign of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty. The celestial sphere instrument is composed of three parts: base, bracket and celestial sphere. The celestial sphere is inlaid with 28 constellations, 300 constellations and more than 2200 stars with pearls, and engraved with Ziweiyuan, Tianshiyuan and Taiweiyuan. There are equatorial rings and horizon rings around the sphere, and there is a time plate at the north pole. The four-legged gold bracket around the Kowloon supports the ball.
