The plain tricolor refers to a kind of low temperature glazed porcelain fired in Jingdezhen. Xu Zhiheng of the Qing Dynasty wrote “Drinking and Flowing in the Room and Speaking of Porcelain”, which said that “those who draw patterns in three colors of eggplant, yellow and green are called plain tricolor”. The production method is to fill the carved pattern with colored glaze on the plain tire fired at high temperature, and then burn it at low temperature. Three-color glazed pottery was created and burned in the Xuande period of the Ming Dynasty.
