The box is round, the cover is slightly raised, and the foot is encircled. The cover is round and shiny, with white enamel and hook cloud pattern as the ground. The four characters of “Fu”, “Shou”, “Kang” and “Ning” filled with red enamel are made on it, and there are miscellaneous treasure patterns around it. The upper and lower walls are made of blue enamel and decorated with various flower patterns
In the late Ming Dynasty, the decorative themes of filigree enamel ware were rich, including ganoderma lucidum, crane, plum, orchid, bamboo and chrysanthemum, lotus, heron, fish and algae, etc. In addition, there were patterns that incorporated characters to form auspicious meanings. The decoration of this box is a typical example of such patterns
